The Portuguese Museology Association (APOM) has granted three awards to museums in Madeira, recognising their efforts in preserving and promoting the region\u2019s cultural heritage. The Madeira Ethnographic Museum received the \u201cPartnership\u201d award for the community project \u201cOnde a L\u00e3 Vive\u201d, and the corresponding temporary exhibition received an honorable mention. Additionally, the Colombo Museum in Porto Santo also received an honorable mention in the \u201cIncorporation\u201d category for donations that enriched its new museography. <\/p>\n\n
Besides these awards there is also the recognition of the RTP-Madeira programme \u201cMuseums with History\u201d, (colocar o t\u00edtulo original) which highlighted 12 museums and museum centres across the region.
