On September 25, the Regional Secretariat of Tourism, Environment, and Culture , marked National Sustainability Day with several environmental awareness initiatives in Madeira. <\/p>\n\n

One of the actions involved collecting trash along the PR6.4 \u2013 Levada Velha do Raba\u00e7al hiking trail, in partnership with IFCN and DRAM, also encouraging hikers to pick up any litter they came across. <\/p>\n\n

DRAM also promoted the initiative \u201cConscious Plate 2026 \u2013 Savoring Sustainability,\u201d aimed at encouraging hotels to reduce food waste and highlight local and seasonal products. <\/p>\n\n

These initiatives support and strengthen environmental protection and the promotion of more sustainable tourism, contributing to Madeira\u2019s economic, environmental, cultural, and social development.<\/p>\n\n
