Hotel Quinta da Serra achieves “Carbon Zero” certification

The Hotel Quinta da Serra – Bio Hotel achieves the ‘Carbon Zero’ certification in 2022, following several initiatives carried out by the hotel unit towards sustainability.

The hotel unit, with the support of Ponto Verde Serviços, monitored and offset its greenhouse gas emissions, according to the Carbon Zero methodology, and ensured the sequestration of these emissions in carbon equivalent quantities, through the planting of trees carried out in an area of national forest, a project also monitored by Ponto Verde Serviços.

With this action, the Hotel Quinta da Serra – Bio Hotel ensures its carbon neutrality, reaching a true “milestone” in the area of sustainability, becoming the only hotel in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, and one of the very few at a national level, to achieve such neutrality.
