Praia da Ribeira do Faial has been honoured with the Blue Flag Certificate, marking 20 consecutive years of Blue Flag awards. The recognition highlights the commitment to environmental quality, safety and ecological awareness.
The Blue Flag, awarded by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), requires compliance with strict criteria such as water quality, environmental management and services.
This milestone reflects the efforts of the Municipality of Santana, the local authorities and the community to preserve this natural space and consolidate it as a sustainable destination.
