The Regional Government has already supported 107 young people in projects to set up their own businesses

Since 2015, the Regional Government of Madeira, through the Employment Institute, has approved 102 business creation projects for 107 young entrepreneurs, generating 181 new jobs and a total investment of 1.9 million euros. In 2023, with support of around 100,000 euros, eight jobs were created in sectors such as Photography, Tourist Animation, Beauty, Fitness and others, with companies based in Funchal, Câmara de Lobos, Machico and Porto Santo. The ‘Business Creation and Employment’ (CRIEE) and ‘Young Entrepreneur’ (eJovem) programmes are aimed at young people between the ages of 18 and 29, promoting the creation of businesses and jobs.
