New ARDITI research ship enters testing phase after construction completion

On August 28, the construction of ARDITI’s new scientific research ship was completed on time. It will now undergo compliance tests before its official delivery.

The project represents an investment of 13.95 million euros, plus VAT, funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR). The construction was carried out by a French consortium, and the ship was designed to function as a floating laboratory, equipped with advanced scientific sensors.

Once operational, this ship will boost ocean research and monitoring capabilities in Madeira, contributing to scientific progress and a better understanding and protection of the region’s marine resources.
