Green Steps – Urban Art “Street decoration with recycled art” awarded for its sustainability practices.

The project “Street decoration with recycled art” is part of the organization of the traditional São Pedro Festivities, with the objective of promoting the municipality of Câmara de Lobos as an innovative, sustainable and ecological city. For approximately 6 months, reusable materials are collected, treated, and processed – empty plastic bottles, soft drink cans, etc. – with the purpose of decorating and embellishing the São Pedro Festivities and streets.

This initiative is promoted by Teatro Metaphora, founded in 2009. This is an association that promotes various cultural, educational and environmental activities to benefit the development of the local community.
